We are proud of our scientific achievements at AGT. Our staff not only develop better varieties for Australian farmers, they also contribute to the body of plant breeding science that benefits all of the globe’s citizens.

Our scientists collaborate with leading industry researchers to publish scientific papers on a wide range of topics, and are often invited to present at scientific and industry meetings on the application of genetics and methodologies in commercial plant breeding. Please see below for a comprehensive list of publications contributed to by AGT scientists.

Currently, we have researchers and students working on topics such as the genetics of heat stress in wheat, barley and durum; the role of drones and aerial imaging for rapid phenotyping; nitrogen use efficiency; plant response to growth regulators in dry environments; response to grazing; and new technologies for the application of molecular markers to plant breeding.
