AGT-Agile can be traded between growers upon the completion of a License Agreement as part of AGT’s Seed Sharing™ initiative.
PBR and EPR
AGT-Agile is protected by Plant Breeders Rights (PBR) and all production (except seed saved for planting) is liable to an End Point Royalty (EPR), which funds future plant breeding.
AGT-Agile growers will be subject to a Grower License Agreement that acknowledges that an EPR of $4.20/tonne + GST must be paid on all production other than seed saved for planting.

AGT-Agile has been developed as a more user-friendly alternative to Sunmax for the mid-April planting window.
Sunmax has been a strong performer in the northern region, delivering APH quality with a unique maturity that enables very early planting. Outside this window, however, performance can be constrained, particularly through reduced grain size.
AGT-Agile's maturity sits neatly between Sunmax and LRPB Raider, filling an important gap in the planting window. It directly addresses Sunmax's limitations, offering significantly improved grain size, a broader planting window, a stronger disease resistance package, and close to a 9% yield advantage. For most growers, the switch from Sunmax to AGT-Agile is an easy decision.
Compared with LRPB Raider, AGT-Agile delivers higher yields, particularly when planted in the mid-April window. It also provides improved grain quality, with higher test weight and lower screenings, alongside stronger stripe rust resistance.
Overall, AGT-Agile stands as a strong alternative to both Sunmax and LRPB Raider for northern growers, combining dependable yield, improved grain quality and excellent disease resistance in an important maturity type.
