Breeders comments

AGT-Strike TT has been released to complement the existing canola varieties in our portfolio that have been largely developed for low to medium rainfall environments; with AGT-Strike TT our best offering to date for growers in medium to high rainfall environments.

AGT-Strike TT has delivered highly competitive yields, excellent oil content, and therefore improved profitability when compared with both OP and hybrid TT competitors in higher yielding environments.

As a complement to AGT-Insurgent TT (predominantly aimed at low to medium rainfall environments), AGT-Strike TT offers important attributes required when growing canola in higher productivity environments including a slower maturity, better lodging tolerance, and improved black leg resistance. AGT trials have shown AGT-Strike TT offers a yield improvement over AGT-Insurgent TT in higher yielding trials.

Compared to the leading hybrid TT's on the market, AGT-Strike TT offers lower risk (due to less up-front cost of seed), the ability for growers to retain seed to grow again, and most importantly, higher gross margins (taking into account yield, oil content, cost of seed and end-point royalties).

Over-all, we recommend AGT-Strike TT to growers in medium-high rainfall environments; while AGT-Insurgent TT is our best bet for growers in low-medium rainfall environments.
