Expressions of Interest for a $10,000 AGT Community Donation are open until May 15th.
What are AGT Community Donations?
AGT wants to contribute up to $10,000 to a project that benefits your local rural community.
Proudly homegrown, AGT has become the largest plant breeding company in Australia.
Our ability to reach this milestone - by delivering market-leading varieties in every mainland state - is due entirely to growers like you and communities like yours. With each of our breeding centres based in rural communities, we recognise that we all operate with the support of the communities in which we live and work.
The donation can be used to cover all or part of whatever you’re trying to achieve.
It could go toward anything from upgrading community facilities, supporting local youth programs, or improving equipment for volunteer groups. If your community needs the nominated project, we would like to help make it happen.
Who can apply for a community donation?
AGT Community Donations are available to any rural community where farmers have grown an AGT variety under our Variety Licence Agreement, accurately completed harvest declarations between the years of 2021-2024, and paid end point royalties on their harvest.
End point royalties are AGT’s only source of income and so are vital for our ongoing research and breeding of field crops specifically for Australian grain growers. These Community Donations are therefore our way of thanking - and giving back - to those who have done the right thing by AGT.
The AGT Community Donations application process.
Applications begin with a short Expression of Interest, allowing us to confirm grower eligibility before you continue with the application.
In order to have your application for a $10,000 AGT Community Donation considered, please follow the steps below:
Step 1 - Nominate a grower:
- Accepted the latest AGT Variety Licence Agreement online
- Submitted Harvest Declarations for each season they have grown AGT varieties
- Paid EPRs on harvested grain
Find a local grower who supports the project, and who has been growing AGT crop varieties in the past 4 years and in doing so has;
Let them know that AGT will be confirming the above information.
Step 2 - Complete the EOI form by 15th of May:
Register your interest in applying for an AGT Community Donations using the following form.

Step 3 - We will talk to the grower:
When we receive the EOI form, AGT will confirm if the grower has met the criteria from Step 1.
Step 4 - We will ask for your application:
Once grower details are confirmed, we will invite you to submit an application with more details for an AGT Community Donation.
