What are AGT Community Donations?

AGT wants to contribute up to $10,000 to a project that benefits your local rural community.

Proudly homegrown, AGT has become the largest plant breeding company in Australia.

Our ability to reach this milestone - by delivering market-leading varieties in every mainland state - is due entirely to growers like you and communities like yours. With each of our breeding centres based in rural communities, we recognise that we all operate with the support of the communities in which we live and work.

The donation can be used to cover all or part of whatever you’re trying to achieve.

It can be anything from repairs or maintenance of community facilities, educational opportunities for local youth, or even purchasing a new tuba for the brass band. If your community agrees with the nominated project, we would like to help make it happen.

Who can apply for a community donation?

AGT Community Donations are available to anyone who has grown grain of an AGT variety under our Variety License Agreement, accurately completed harvest declarations for the years 2019-2022 inclusive, and paid end point royalties on their harvest.

End point royalties are AGT’s only source of income and so are vital for our ongoing research and breeding of crops specifically for Australian grain growers. These Community Donations are therefore our way of thanking - and giving back - to those who have done the right thing by AGT.
